Spectrex Automatic Fire Extinguishing (SAFE) System is well proven ,most reliable and best performing fire protection system for Tactical and Combat vehicles crew/troop compartments. Over 15,000 vehicles worldwide, including the light tactical vehicles and special purpose vehicles that are currently commissioned in Iraq and Afghanistan are protected by the SAFE Systems.

The system protects against combat-initiated and slow-growth fires as well as explosive fire featuring high-speed optical detection in less than 3 milliseconds, explosion suppression within 150 milliseconds, multiple ultra fast extinguishing agent discharge and dispersion. The SAFE system limits pressure and radiation build-up from an explosion by immediate intervention, which restricts the quantity of flammable fluid that interacts with the air, and thus confines the size and duration of flame propagation. Fire extinguishing agents are discharged within 5 milliseconds after activation.

More than 50 types of Combat and tactical vehicles including Main Battle Tanks (Leopard C1, M48, M60, T62, T72, AMX 30, Kurrassier), Armored Personnel Carriers (M113, BMR, VEC), Armored Fighting Vehicles (Pizarro, Leonidas), Artillery vehicles (M109, M110, FAASV, CPV) and special purpose vehicles MRAP, MMPV and prototypes of the JLTV, Engineering, Recovery, Bridge Launching have been integrated with various models of the SAFE system.
